Faber Castell Show 2018 2 Oct 2018, Tue

It has been a little hard to update my website regularly due to the myriad of things on my plate. Here are two tiny pieces from my Faber Castell Show in May this year. Recently, I have been thinking about the meaning of doing art. Yes. It is the time when one ruminates and think about things... I do not expect to figure it all out now. Sometimes we do not even understand ourselves well enough.

Cosmic Antidotes, 2018
Mixed media on paper
4.7 x 4.7 ” (12 x 12 cm) | framed 9.7 x 9.7 ” (24.5 x 24.5 cm)

I love the dark night sky because it draws me closer to our expansive universe and the stars beyond. As I am not a chip on Elon Musk’s sports car, I had better to invent other ways of travelling into the galaxies. What’s better than a tiny piece of art to bring us to unchartered waters? One might even stumble upon some cosmic antidotes.

Ukulele and the Curious Audience, 2018
Mixed media on paper
4.7 x 4.7 ” (12 x 12 cm) | framed 9.7 x 9.7 ” (24.5 x 24.5 cm)

Some years back, my sisters bought me a ukulele for my birthday. I am not someone who gets thrilled by receiving gifts. (I think my husband is a lucky man.) However, this is really special because it started my journey making amateurish music. I really love how it sounds! So, this piece is about the little joys of creating music in a mystical universe we call home.
